Developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, the TS050 HYBRID is a sports prototype car with carbon fiber monocoque and closed cockpit body. Its hybrid powertrain employs a midship 2.4-liter twin turbo direct injection V6, a high-powered lithium-ion battery, and Motor Generator Units (MGUs) on front and rear axles. Its superior performance and reliability brought marvelous results in 2018. Now, the car which wrote a new page in Japanese motorsports history is an exciting new addition to the extensive Tamiya 1/24 Sports Car Series, with the highly refined aerodynamic form of the TS050 HYBRID captured in style. ★This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 194mm, width: 80mm, height: 58mm. ★The honed form with multiple aero parts is recreated with great accuracy. ★Center cowl is split into parts to be painted different colors, for an easier job. ★Decals are provided for red livery sections. ★Carbon fiber pattern decals are also included. ★Comprehensive decal sheet allows creation of No.7 or No.8 car. ★Masking stickers in the box aid with the paint job. ★Synthetic rubber slick tires feature realistic appearance and feel. ★Steered front wheels.

★The disctinctive multi-LED headlights are depicted using a combination of metal transfers, decals and clear parts.
★A gloss metal-plated component is used to recreate the cockpit roof. Induction pod antennae are also captured.
★A busy cockpit interior features depictions of console panel, pedals, and even details such as the seat-side battery box.
★Air tunnels between side pontoon and front fender parts work to showcase the latter's accurately rendered interior form.
★Exhaust ends peek out from the rear cowl, while decals recreate carbon fiber pattern at both the front and rear of the model.
There is plenty to look at on the underside of the model, too, with aerodynamic designs and front suspension depicted.
A comprehensive set of decals allows depiction of either of the number 7 or 8 cars. Masking stickers aid with painting.
