1/35 German Pkw.K1 Kübelwagen Type 82 (North Africa)
The Kubelwagen is a military vehicle produced in Germany during World
War II. The name is an abbreviation of “Kubelsitzwagen,” which means a
bucket-seat vehicle, and was originally a general term for military
vehicles with bucket seats and folding tops. In 1938, the Porsche Design
Office, which received a request from the Army Weapons Bureau,
conducted research into converting the Volkswagen Type 1 into a military
vehicle and completed a prototype, but there were concerns about its
durability and weight, so they made improvements and developed the
prototype 62. Field tests of the 62 model revealed issued such as
adjusting the driving speed and improving mobility in the mountains and
fields, so further improvements were made, and the 82 model was
completed. Approximately 52,000 units of the 82 model were manufactured.
This model kit from Meng includes a blackout cover (you can choose
