Built by \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douglas_Aircraft_Company\" title=\"Douglas Aircraft Company\"\u003eDouglas Aircraft Company\u003c\/a\u003e during \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/World_War_II\" title=\"World War II\"\u003eWorld War II\u003c\/a\u003e, the Invader also saw service during several major \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cold_War\" title=\"Cold War\"\u003eCold War\u003c\/a\u003e conflicts. A limited number of highly modified \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Air_Force\" title=\"United States Air Force\"\u003eUnited States Air Force\u003c\/a\u003e aircraft served in \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Indochina_Wars\" title=\"Indochina Wars\"\u003eSoutheast Asia\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cbr\u003e until 1969. It was a fast aircraft capable of carrying a large bomb \u003cbr\u003eload. A range of guns could be fitted to produce a formidable \u003cbr\u003eground-attack aircraft.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cdt\u003eB-26K\u003c\/dt\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cdd\u003eOn Mark Engineering conversions of a total of 40 aircraft; B-26Bs or\u003cbr\u003e TB-26Bs with two B-26Cs and a single JB-26C; changes included fitting \u003cbr\u003eof 2,500 hp (1,900 kW) R-2800-52W engines with no propeller spinners and\u003cbr\u003e the six wing guns deleted.
